HotelChatter at Historic Hotels of America Conference

Last Thursday, HotelChatter participated in an Internet Marketing panel discussion about “Blogging & Consumer Driven Content”. The panel was part of the Historic Hotels of America’s 2006 annual meeting. Approximately 200 hotel general managers, hoteliers, and marketers attended the event.
What was the crux of the panel? Hotel marketing is a two way conversation, hotels want to increase traffic to their own websites, and HotelChatter confirmed that we will continue to “rage against the machine”. The crowd asked us, so we answered.
Other panelists included Juli Lederhaus, the Hawthorne Hotel GM who runs the excellent Hawthorne Hotel Blog, and Max Starkov and Jason Price of Hospitality eBusiness Strategies.
Thanks to Shirley Talbert of HHA for organizing the panel and putting us up at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, MI.
